Number the Stars is a wonderful experience and a book that teaches you about the Holocaust. The Holocaust is when the Nazis tried to kill all of the Jewish people led by the leader, Hitler. The book is not all about that. It’s mainly about a girl, Annemarie, and her friend, Ellen. The main problem is that Ellen is Jewish, and the German solders are looking for her. It’s up to Annemarie and her family to save her.
I recommend this book for ages 9-13 because some kids don’t even know who the Nazis are. It’s pretty hard to understand it too. If you are somebody who wants to learn about it, then read it. Some people might think the concentration camps were some good place when they were where Jewish people went to die. You would understand the relationship between the two girls. They looked after one another, they always stayed to together, they were best friends. Annemarie is going to save her best friend so that she doesn’t get killed.
You can get this book in any bookstore, Barnes and Noble, etc. If you like historical fiction then get the book.

Percy in his dangerous life of turning 16, what will happen? Will he be the Last Olympian or will he not?
In this book, it has lots of issues, ideas, and concepts like courage, betrayal, and loss. A lot of courage comes out when Annabeth leaves her family and joins Luke and Thalia. This makes me think Annabeth does not care about her family, and how they think of her. This makes me realize that Annabeth is not watching out for other people besides herself.
In the book it shows betrayal when Luke goes on the bad side. This makes me wonder, why would Luke do that? Throughout the series it tells the reader in the book how Luke is so mysterious, and wants to go up against Percy, Chiron, Annabeth, and Camp Half-Blood.
Rick Riordan, the author of this book, really brings out the excitement and lots of questions in the book that just makes you want to read more. Rick inspires lots of writers and children throughout the whole world. Most of his fantastic fantasy books are the best-selling series!
I think the message is trust your instincts, and believe in yourself, don't bring yourself down, no matter what.

This sentence is most definitely one of my favorite parts! I mean Hestia does a great job talking "first person" to Percy. Alright, The Last Olympian is totally my favorite book! The way everything is said amazes me! Rick Riordan is the perfect person for character details and setting details.
Rick Riordan describes so many things. He describes Beckendorf as "...he was huge, with ripped muscles from working on the forges every summer, two years older than me, and one of the camp's best armor smiths." He makes it easier to picture things in my mind, I instantly knew what Beckendorf looked like!
I believe this book could be for 8 and up. They can handle it, especially with Rick Riordan's detials.
So the next book you read should be The Last Olympian!

The power, sorrow, and scariness of war is shown in The Last Olympian.
Once again, Rick Riordan brings out emotion and humor. In The Last Olympian, 15 year old Percy goes on a mission, a war, to save the world by protecting the Empire State Building.
This story shows friendship, love, betrayal, identity, and hope and in between making the readers feel the same. A part that shows that is when Percy is fighting Kronos himself.
The text is powerful and full of courage and braveness as Kronos strikes again causing a terrible war that will all, hopefully, go to Tartarus.
Readers will relate with all the characters feeling important and feel like a true half-blood. (I recommend this for 8 and up.)

The suspense, the action, and the drama is showing that Wiglaf is a risk taker, but he does it on accident. For example, Wiglaf kills Gorzil and his mother Seetha. But when they call Zelnoc, Wiglaf wants to go to get jiffy gold but he ends up being turned into a dragon! The end of the book is the really calm part when all the characters are calm except Mordred.
Wiglaf is a scaredy cat but brave. For example, when he was foun dout by the DSA (Dragon Slackers Academy) they had the guts to call Zelnoc and Zelnoc shrank them! Then Zelnoc turned them into humans again and got caught by the head mistress! Sissy (the dragon that helps them) is brave and generous, brave because she is disobeying the teacher but generous because she's helping Wiglaf get the jiffy gold.
Wiglaf's adventures send a message to never underestimate the little guy. I think this because Zelnoc is the little guy in the wizard state but ends up saving Zizmor (the head of the wizard world, and the best) from his baby spell and saving Wiglaf from Seetha's 3,632 children from killing them. So if you liked this review then read this book!

Mordred is a very bossy person. He is obsessed with gold and would do anything to get it.
Zelnoc is a wizard whose spells always seem to go wrong. Will this one go wrong too or just not the spell that they wanted? Zelnoc helps them but also messes up in the DSA books.
Wiglaf of Pinwick is a new student at DSA. He already slayed two dragons by accident. Will he have to slay anymore? Wiglaf can't stand the sight of blood. That is why he had to kill the dragons by accident. Wiglaf can't even kill a fake dragon in slaying class.
Angus is one of Wiglaf's best friends. He is also the nephew of Mordred. He doesn't get special treatment though. He actually has to do more things. Angus's mom is always sending him goody bags with good food so he doesn't always have to eat the eel that Frypot makes.
Erica who is secretly Eric is also one of Wiglaf's best friends. She is secretly Princess Erica but DSA is an all boys school so she disguises herself as a boy. No one knows she is a girl except for Wiglaf and Angus.
If you like this book you can read all of the DSA books from 1 to 19. There are 19 books in the DSA series. You could and should read all of them. They are really good books.

Lois is a great, nice, charming girl but we all know how hard it is for her because in this book Lois, the main character, she feels like she's missing a piece of herself!
Throughout this book you'll feel all emotions like a topsy turvy bike. Lois is sad and awkward around her family because of her dad. But when her dad comes back, she finally gets to bond. What shows this is when her dad puts her in charge of the crow call - it's an important thing to do!
This is Lois Lowry at her best. And kids and families will love it from everywhere and that's why this is Newberry Medal Winner!
I think this book tells you that it's always "ok" and I love the parts that tell you that. I recommend it for ages 6 and up.

Oggie Cooder is strange to a whole lot of people; Oggie crochets his own shoelaces, wears weird clothes, and does what he calls charving. Charving is just chewing and carving cheese into shapes, which most people think is kinda weird, until a TV show needs people with weird talents! Donnica Perfecto describes Oggie as, "EWWW!" and would not even go near him if she could, so when she comes to Oggie's door and asks how to charve, right when a flyer comes up that says when, where, and how to audition for the TV show, people get confused, really confused!
Oggie Cooder is a realistic fiction book that involves friendship, differences, and beauty (on the inside), it shows readers that if you stay who you are, there will always be someone that's like you out there.
Sarah Weeks adds humor, intelligence, and AWESOMENESS into this book, she shows everything to the reader writing in third person which goes so well with her story.
You'll love this book for sooo many reasons, it brings you to think about how everyone is different in some ways and alike in some ways.

Then I kept reading and I was wrong. Whenever he flies over you, you don't turn old. He just burns things. The dragon's name is...Gizzlegore!

Dragon slayer in training, Wiglaf is often described as an animal lover, hates the sight of blood, and likes his family. A little bit. He thinks of himself like those three things while other people describe him as funny, hero, and a true friend.
Kate McMullan is the author and made not just the #14 book creative, she made them all special. From #1 to #19 it's a fun, crazy, and adventurous series.
DSA #14 is a very good book. Almost better than all the other ones. Daisy is steaming hot to what happens in this book. Zelnoc, is Wiglaf's wizard he meets along the way. But he might not be "perfect" at spells all the time.

The Percy Jackson series is a wonderful book series, but my favorite book in the series is The Last Olympian; I think this because there are so many twists, turns, ad problems that happen in the previous books that get solved in The Last Olympian.
This book, by Rick Riordan, includes intensity, adventure, and even a little humor. The characters in this magical, magnificent, wonderful book are Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, Luke, Thalia, Kronos, Poseidon, Typhon, Rachel Elizabeth Dare, and pretty much all the other people who either are gods or are just enemies. There are about 300 pages in this book.
This book makes you smarter; such as learning about Greek gods and goddesses, and mythology - which doesn't sound GREAT, but it really is if you read the book.
Rick Riordan is a great author who is talented in many ways! Rick won awards for the writing in these books! So my suggestion is open this book NOW! But you have to read it in order (start with The Lightning Thief!).

The Percy Jackson series is a wonderful book series, but my favorite book in the series is The Last Olympian; I think this because there are so many twists, turns, ad problems that happen in the previous books that get solved in The Last Olympian.
This book, by Rick Riordan, includes intensity, adventure, and even a little humor. The characters in this magical, magnificent, wonderful book are Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Tyson, Luke, Thalia, Kronos, Poseidon, Typhon, Rachel Elizabeth Dare, and pretty much all the other people who either are gods or are just enemies. There are about 300 pages in this book.
This book makes you smarter; such as learning about Greek gods and goddesses, and mythology - which doesn't sound GREAT, but it really is if you read the book.

Big Nate is the awesomest series you will ever read. Nate is a funny and a nice kid but he is not so well in school. Big Nate is a cool, funny comic. Nate's friend is Francis. Francis is a really nice friend and he is very funny.
The author uses great illustrations and details. Some of the books are how to draw Nate and other characters. The message of the book is to be nice to your friends and trust your instincts.
I recommend Big Nate for 8 and up. Big Nate is a book filled with adventures and it's funny. That's why I like Big Nate. you will love the fiction picture book!!

This has a theme of teamwork and friendship. Wiglaf in the story shows that he could actually be a Dragon Slayer and Dragon Saver.
This interesting prediction story shows a lesson about loving, caring, and trusting. It's also showing ideas during the story like trust, hope, power, courage, and loyalty. The author is trying to make readers think of what's happening. I think this book should be ages 8 to 11 for kids who like journeys and predictions and great fantasy books. This book is a key or metaphor for friendship because they were all together as a team to help save Worm or will they turn into big "giant!" trouble stew?

Greg and Little Brown are the author and illustrator. In the book Tintin Secret of the Unicorn, Tintin and Captain Haddock are trying to get the gangsters and the secret of the unicorn. The main character is Tintin and his dog Snowy. Snowy is a white dog.
Tintin took him on all of his adventures. Snowy is awesome, cool, calm, and adventurous. Tintin is adventurous, calm, and awesome. The message of this story is never give up because when Tintin and Snowy are trying to get the gangsters they never gave up. So if you like action packed books, then you will like this book. As you can see this is probably my favorite book and I think you should try it.

Once he arrives to DSA he has to make a deal with Frypot the cook to get into school because he doesn't have seven pennies. Frypot lets him come in only if he washes the dishes. Wiglaf is then sent to slay Gorzil. It's his job to figure out what the Dragon's weakness is. Will he figure that out?
I would recommend this series because there are a lot of good parts that will make you never want to end the series. Remember to tell friends about this series.

Dragon Slayer Wiglaf of Pinwick is often described, friendly, nice, trustworthy, and intelligent. Wiglaf feels once he is home in pinwick awful because he always has to do work like cabbage picking, and washing the dishes. Wiglaf also has the most unlikely ways to kill stuff to achieve in getting gold for DSA!
So Wiglaf isn’t such a good person with swords and bloody messes. Because it grosses him out and his stomach flips … but until he finds out a different way to slay a dragon?
A dragon weakness. Which is something that doesn’t involve bloody messes and Wiglaf also has friends Angus, and Eric? Angus always loves to eat, and Eric is a person that calls out lots of answers, and Daisy wiglafs pig that has a special thing that no other pig has? But all of them are a team that helps DSA!
Readers notice the theme of DSA is … its ok to be different kind of dragon slayer. When wiglaf comes to DSA he is trying to face his fears of dragons will he fight one?
I highly recommend ages 8 to 11 for kids who like predictions and fantasy powers and journeys.
This is an idea of power, courage, hope, friendship, perseverance, and differences. Wiglaf didn’t realize how good of a dragon slayer he was.

In the story Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, Grover, go on quests and have lots of fun adventures. The hero, Percy Jackson is a demigod with a good sense of fighting monsters and powerful people.Annabeth, the clever one, who knows her ways through course and will soon believe in herself that she will lead a quest someday. Grover, the satyr, has his own ways to follow his dreams to find Pan. He’s brave and will do whatever it takes to do it. Tyson, the Cyclops, is wimpy and not the best, but he can fight through big heavy rocks and has the power to shoot fire balls.
The Titan’s curse 14 year old Percy meets the Hunters and finds a evil person named Dr. Thorn who captures two of the hunters. The reader realizes it’s important to get your friendship back so you have things back. The Titan’s Curse, Percy, Annabeth, and friends go on the quest to find the hunters and things do not go well when there teamed up. In my opinion I think that it’s good that there teamed up so I would find a way to cooperate. This makes me think that camp half blood and the hunters must think and act differently. A lesson in the book is to trust others because it will help your way through doing hard things. This becomes clear when Percy helps a guy named Ethan who wanted to be saved from Luke’s side and then returned back.
Children about ages 8 and up, would love to read this book. The author, Rick Riordan, can make you feel like you’re in the book. It feels like you’re watching a TV show. It’s like the real thing is happening.
The Titan’s Curse is a chapter book with lots of fantasy. Percy’s quest delivers a message about power. Power can happen; you can fight the horrible monsters and succeed until you turn 16. Sometimes you can get lucky maybe like Percy you can go past the (devil age.) and be the best. The lesson may seem weird but it’s true.
On the back of the book it says “Rick Riordan is an amazing bestselling author in New York Times,” the Percy Jackson series was a book that became a big hit!

I am the last Olympian.” Percy Jackson, a very good book, has some talented amazing characters for example Annabeth, Grover, Percy, Tyson, Chiron, And much more!! This book includes an unrevealed message!
Percy talks to us in a unique way. He asks questions, and gives important hints about what’s going on. Some important parts in this story are when Percy finds out he is a demigod, when he fights the Minotaur, and lots more! These books are geared to the same 8 and older range. Percy Jackson is amazingly different chapter books. It has an award for “Best selling series”.
Percy Jackson is a great and amazing book about demigods that kids will actually enjoy! The hero Percy Jackson is a character with a cool sword they call “riptide”. Percy has always been able to see through the mist in the first book you’ll find out why!
The author, Rick Riordan, adds character details and setting description. For example in the last Olympian he describes the ocean as –“glittery green and as smooth as glass.” He also describes Annabeth in the lightning thief as “…. With her deep tan and her curly blonde hair she was almost exactly what I thought a California girl would look like, except her eyes they ruined the whole image they were startling gray like storm clouds.”
I recommend this book for people who like learning in a fun way. And for people who are 8 and older. This series should have an award for best book series ever!! So read this book!
