He would have said his brother, Simon, would be either a veterinarian or a lion tamer. He would have said that his sister Mallory, would either be an Olympic fencer or in jail for stabbing someone with a sword. But he couldn’t say what job he would grow up to have. Not that anyone asked him. Not that anyone asked him on anything.”
The Spiderwick Chronicles series has everything a book could ever have. Like adventure, humor, a big quest, and a happy ending. Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black really make Spiderwick a on topic fun fantasy series.
The main character, Jared Grace, is a kid with one sister and one brother. Jared has never been asked really anything and sometimes that gets to him. Jared’s family sadly got divorced and they moved to their Aunt Lucinda’s really old house. And usually things didn’t happen the way a regular house would happen.
However, the Grace children’s adventures are different from other kids’ adventures. These differences involve goblins, evil tree monster, fairies, trolls, a nice hob-goblin, and much more. The real theme of the series is: Every moment no madder what the moment is, it’s always a quest. I mostly recommended this series to ages 8 and up.
“Don’t open the book Jared,” is where it all happen.
